College of the Cumberlands students acquire begin-up cash for company assignments

WILLLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – University of the Cumberlands held its yearly college student Entrepreneurship Pitch Contest on Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Hutton University of Business.
The winner of this year’s competition was Ashley Ikner with K&A Wellness & Wellness, a complete wellness center with a full gym with trainers, recovery home with restoration gear and nutritional supplements, and total kitchen area with prepped meals and cooking classes.
Ashley will just take the $1,000 prize to aid start out her enterprise to be located in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The second-place winner of a $500 prize was Emily Vogt with a small business system for “Earthy & Cost-free,” a vegan café based mostly in Bowling Inexperienced, Ky. The 3rd-spot winner ($250) was Grace Chitwood with a business system for “Security Solutions” a cybersecurity company.
All other university student teams that participated obtained $100 prize to assist pursue their enterprise thoughts.
In the contest, 7 pupil groups pitched their organizations to a staff of judges with the aim of winning a grand prize of $1,000.
