Blueprint founder Khalif El-Amin speaks at the Blueprint Green Bay announcement event on June 15.

Inexperienced BAY – Que El-Amin remembers the worries he and his brother Khalif El-Amin faced while expanding their first enterprise.

It was 2008 – way just before social media, Google business listings and Yelp truly took off. The Milwaukee-based mostly brothers’ business was called MKE Community. They envisioned it as a listing site for modest businesses at a time when lots of smaller companies failed to have social media internet pages.

“At the time, we have been likely door to doorway to get people today signed up for it,” Que El-Amin reported. “We’re using a image and generally developing a webpage for it, but there was no one particular there to say, ‘Hey this is a terrific thought and if you took this and you commenced using the services of people to go out and get listings, etcetera, etcetera, this is how you scale it, then it could have developed to anything more.'”
